Potrero Hill Housing Shooting
17 Apr 2006Bayview Officer responded to the 900 Block of Connecticut Street regarding a shooting. The officers met with the victim who was now inside a housing unit. He told officers that his was standing in the area of 23rd and Dakota Streets with his friend when someone came from behind a building and shot him. He and his friend ran to a unit a block away. The male had a non-life-threatening gun shot wound to his arm. They had no further description of the suspect.
The individual that was not hurt was also at the scene of another shooting. In this incident which occurred at 800 block of Missouri Street (just a short distance from the first incident.) at approximately 6:30 PM. The victim, who was already at San Francisco General Hospital, was uncooperative. He attempted to tell police that the shooting occurred elsewhere. Follow-up by the responding officers and inspectors in addition to 911 calls indicated that the shooting occurred on this block. A crime scene was located. There were numerous shell casings of two different calibers, which indicated that there were two guns involved in this incident. Gang Task Force is investigating both incidents.
