Potrero Hill, San Francisco

A neighborhood guide for Potrero Hill, San Francisco

Officer assigned to the Bayview Violent Crime Reduction Unit received information that a person was seen with an assault style weapon. The suspect is currently on probation and is wanted in numerous robberies. When Officers went to the house and knocked on the door they heard scurrying.

The resident refused entry into the premises.  A key was obtained to make entry.  It should be noted that this was legal because the suspect was on active probation and as a condition of his probation he gave up his right to warrantless search in exchange for being set free.

Entry was forced.  Inside the unit two guns were found including the assault gun.  Numerous arrests were made.
