Potrero Hill, San Francisco

A team of Bayview Plainclothes Officers was working on Potrero Hill when they spotted a known gang member in the area. The man spotted the Officers and ran off, firmly holding his waistband-an indication that he might be armed. The Officers followed him to an address on Dakota where he screamed for the occupant to lock the door. The Officers captured the man and contacted the occupant, a female on felony probation for narcotics violations. The Officers searched the apartment and located a handgun with obliterated serial numbers. They also found a large quantity of crack cocaine and marijuana packaged for sale. The Officers also discovered number of marijuana plants and various scales and drug packaging material. The man and woman were booked at Bayview Station.
