Mental Health Detention
10 Dec 2005Officers Garate and Alcaraz responded to the Potrero Hill Recreation Center on a report of a naked man. Upon arrival the Officers recognized the man to be a local person that has a history of mental problems. The man was babbling to himself and became extremely agitated. It appeared that he was going to fight the Officers. With some coaxing the man was brought into custody without further incident. The man was transported for evaluation and support services. No criminal charges were filed due to the man’s obvious need for psychiatric assistance.
